Question Remus Exahuast?

Does anyone have it on their TL? I may think about getting these next year, just wanted to get some basic info on these and how much you paid if u have them...and what kinda modification u need to do to make it fit? Also how's the sound? Interior wise and exterior wise?

after sitting in the backseat of Alfav6's Type S and hearing the Comptech exhaust I started to get a small headache..it's not loud outside...but inside damn it's loud...maybe it's b/c i am in the backseat...I dunno...

Aren't the Remus joints louder than Comtechs?? And the only exhaust that are less silent than the Comptechs are the Mugen ones and those are mad loot. If you can't handle the sound comin' from the Comtechs you might as well save sum money and just get tips. It's funny coz sometimes I think my Comptechs don't sound loud enuff.

I don't know about Remus for the TL's but if it runs like the G2 Legend Specific exhaust then it will have a low rumble about it that is akin to a v8 stang at idle and but it never get's to high decible levels even at full throttle. Watch out though Remus is pricey from everything I read though. . .

I just purchased 2 angle tipped universal Remus mufflers and had a local muffler shop make the b pipe. i think the mufflers alone were around $270 a piece. i dont remember how much i spent on the piping since i've had it done twice. Since the pics in the gallery, i had the tips moved in bout and an inch.

I had dual remus on my Accord. I like the sound outside and loved
the looks. But, grew tire of the droning at highway speeds.
It's definately not loud... but it's definately not quite. Besides
that, i didn't treat the chrome tips quite as nicely as I should have.
Even thought they're beautiful exhausts, I'd only get stainless
from now on (if I ever decide to get another exhaust). I'm just
too damn lazy.

Joey, get the Remus so I can compare it with the Comptech before I buy my exhausts next summer.

BTW, I am pretty sure any exhausts will sound loud if you sit in the back seat.:p

I'd love to get one for my 92 Accord. I friend who has the same car as me has a Remus muffler, and it sounds great! He paid $350 about 5 years ago. Today I have called all over, and the best price that I have ever found for it was $375, plus $25 shipping..... Just for a muffler...

So where, and what is the name of this place that got your Remus mufflers from??

The price for BMW's are rediculous

http://www.bavauto.com/remus/remus.html

My friend has an AC Schitnzer exhaust for his 540i and it cost him $1045...that's crazy...

The Remus Legend Specific Muffler runs around 600 delivered for the legend. . . I think other than their universal applications they are pricey across the boards. . . Doesn't mean that I wouldn't kill for one though . . .

Question

I seem to remember that you did pay a good price for them a while ago.. Maybe it's your beers catching up with all those other beers now? In any case, do you have the name and # of the place where you got them from?

Probably at Car Nutz in bellevue eh?
I think I paid $350 each for mine too. After getting new Y pipe,
flanges and install it was high 8's. This was for no improvement
in hp, some unwanted noise and awesome looks. I would go
complete stainless system to do again. But, I'm more than happy
with good old fake tips.

I had a Remus on my Corolla...I got it for $300....yeah those things are expensive....I got the single tip...bu the dual one was a bit more....oh well...I concur with those who said it has a low growl...it does....sounds very nice...but it never really gets loud...from what I heard though...they are really an old school Euro exhuast...pricey and not the best. You're paying for the name.
