Removing steering column upper cover

I'd like to remove the front panel of my dashboard to do some detailing on my instrument cluster (i.e. to fully expose the transparent plastic in front of the gauges). According to the official service/repair manual, in order to do this, one needs to remove the steering column upper cover first. Unfortunately, the service/repair manual does not describe how to do that. I do know how to remove the dashboard front panel, though (remove two screws behind top of steering wheel; carefully detach clips).

Does anyone know how to remove the steering column upper cover?

You just pull it off. Nothing special, just do it gently. It is held on by a couple of tabs. BTW...there are also 2 screws that you need to remove above the gauge cluster in order to remove that whole panel. Here is the DIY that should help you...

Good luck
