I'm sure this question has been answered before but how do you remove the resonator box?

Remove the bumper:

1. four clips underneath (not the ones at the edge, but a little further in)
2. two screws at each end along the bumper
3. two screws in the fenderwell on each side near the top corner of the bumper
4. pull carefully

remove resonator:
1. 10mm bolt up front.
2. 10mm bolt in the back (you'll need an extension for this one)
3. pull down and out

Put back the bumper.

The first bolt is easy to access once you take off the driver's front wheel and pull off A few clips on the inner fender well shield...The other bolt is in front of it, and it's recommended to have the car up on a lift or elevated so you can get to that other bolt..it's more towards the front of the bumper and is easily accessable from reaching in under the bumper, just behind the corner of the headlight..

It's like 10 times easier to do it by taking off through the bumper.

agreed.
you should take off the bumper. the box itself is pretty big so it will be hard for your to remove it if the bumper is in the way.
