Removing the fake wood trim

Has anyone successfully, cleanly, and in less than 8 hours removed the fake wood trim from the cluster gauges??

I'd like to know how you did it...especially the cleanup...

Personally I don't think these look good at all. I mean, they're OK on the door and the center console, but the cluster guage...

heat, pull off, use googone on left over residu. If i had it and wanted to remove it thats how i would do it and it wouldnt take 8 hours. Maybe a hr tops
