nothing (with in reason) will void your warranty unless it is found to be a direct result in making (what ever is wrong) go bad. the resonator is there strictly for sound issues

the resonator muffles the intake sound, and restricts air flow to the engine. by removing it it will (the intake) sound louder. its not that hard to remove

its not hard at all once you look at it and start. if you know what a screw driver and socket wrench a novice can do this in under a hour

if i could do it, anyone can. If you haven't ever removed your front bumper it'll be pretty hard to remove it off the clips the first time but all in all, very easy to do.
