Removed My Gauge Trim, Now Half My Dash Won't Light Up

OK, so i decided to go after the rattle behind my gauges but when i put everything back together i found out that my climate control and fog light button won't light up (but they do work). any ideas?

is it possible i blew out 6 lights at once? i wouldn't think so, although i suppose it could happen. is it possible i mixed up the plugs in the back? anyone???

thanks in advance.

well i checked every button and they all work, so i thought i had everything plugged in but i will check again. sounds like i'm off to acura for some new bulbs. i'll try switching the good bulbs tommorow to see if they work in the unlit slots.

^^bump^^

anyone? i plan on taking everything back apart when i get home from work. thankfully it only takes 5-10 minutes at most, but i still find it odd that not everything lights up. also, my 'select' button for the odometer/trip meter does not light up now, nor my sunroof switch. i haven't checked my fuses yet but i would imagine this should not be the problem since everything is on the same fuse.

that boggles my mind that these bulbs are so sensitive/fragile that they would blow because of something like that. i guess i'll have to get some from acura today, although i'm sure they're expensive. oh well. hopefully i won't blow the rest when i take everything back apart today thanks for the help!

yes it seems as though they are sensitive, if every thing works except the lights its the bulbs that went bad. the only place i know of is the dealer to get them

i took every bulb out and tested them individually. 10 goddamn lights burned out!!! i can't believe this shit. i have never seen crap like this, not even on my ford which had the same type of bulbs. this is ridiculous. hopefully they can order them before the weekend at the dealership.

ok, so i found all the bulbs i need on acuraautomotiveparts.org, but when i called the dealer this morning they told me that those numbers are not the same stock numbers for the dealerships so i will have to explain to them in the morning what i need. even online the order comes to $71. damn.

yeah no joke. i managed to put all my bulbs back without breaking the good ones but i didn't think about the order i put them back in so my climate control readout is always dark now

funny thing is, even 1 or 2 bulbs that tested good won't light up. i hope nothing is damaged. i'll be sure to post all the part numbers when i get them from acura this week. if anyone wants i'll post the part numbers from acuraautomotiveparts.org as well if people want them.

Well I guess I'm not the only one. About a month ago, I tried to replace two bulbs, ended up replacing five of them. They cost me $7 a piece!!

Be careful with them little f*ckers, I dropped one on my plastic floor mat and it didn't work after that. BTW, I'm pretty sure all of the bulbs are not exactly the same. The plastic housings are a bit different because I tried switching a few around and they didn't plug into other places, and if they did, they didn't work. They only worked in the original locations. Also, EVERY clip on all of the switches has to be plugged in if your going to test them out, or else half of the dash won't light up.

Good luck.

Yeah Those bulbs are a f-ing pain in the ass....the bulb for the clock was $8.00. All bulbs are different from Acura.....I even tried to see if Honda Parts in my area had Accord bulbs that would match up to any of the TL's....Only Acura has the bulb's, as said above. I would love a electroluminescent gauge in my 03 TL S.
