That will be loud(obviously). What are your goals? My .02 is if you are going this route just get HKS superdraggers and put back on your OEM piping and just removed the OEM resonator. Don't butcher the Apexi WSII. Sell it and get either Tanabe cat back, a magnaflow set up with a 12 or 14inch resonator, or the set up I perscribed above.

My goal is more of an idle rumble.....it might sound crazy, but I don't think its loud enough.I'm really trying to avoid dropping 900$ on the tannabe, although as you know I love that SS set up.

Tyrus Thomas. from right over my shoulder; McKinley High School

Yeah, he is pretty good at basketball. He is playing hurt too.

I don't know if losing the muffler will give the car more of a rumble at idle...I would surmise so but I'm so new to cars I couldn't intelligently say.

I think at idle it would be louder, but once you start driving, under load, it would be loud as shit!!!!! Probably not sound as good. I agree try selling the WS2 and buy a different setup.

If your going to remove it, you will get a loud resonance. You may want to look into getting a different size resonator

fsttyms has the set up you are speculating about except he has Comptech mufflers not Apexi. Badazztl, has HKS supperdraggers with his resonator removed. PM him and ask him what he thinks about it. The HKS mufflers mimic the Apexi's much closer than the Comptech.

Thanks for your reply...............I guess the Apexi will have to be loud enough for me..I'm just used to hearing a nice rumble I guess..(I use To own 65 Mustang w/2chamber flow masters)

Its not crazy loud at all, its just the resonance that gets to you at certain RPM

i was actually thinking about removing one of the larger resonator from my stock exhaust. I will still have one smaller resonator in. Is this going to make it louder?

I don't want to end up with a fart can sound.....and all I am looking for is just a deeper exhaust sound.
