Remotes don't trigger memory seats?

Is there some setting that is required to have the Numbered remotes trigger the memory seats?

If this is in the manual then I apologize but I don't have it handy.

It's actually on the back of the remote.

Yeah, what robbdogg said!!

If you have your memory positions programmed, each remote activates one of those positions. For example, since I'm the only one who drives my car, my seat position is set to memory 1. My remote says memory one on the back, so everytime I open the door, the seat and mirrors go to my position (if it has been moved). Once I get married, my fiance will have Mem. 2 and the 2nd remote.

If it's not working in general, then there may be a bigger problem. I do not know of any special settings to have this work.....

Yes, I've seen the numbers and the remotes don't seem to have any impact on seats.

ie. With my remote #1, I still have to manually push the button when I get into the car.

hhmm, you shouldn't have to still press 1. Especially if no one else has moved anything.

I noticed something recently, too, that maybe someone could confirm. My gf finally got to drive it this weekend, so she programmed her settings on #2. Now it seems that whenever I open the doors w/ the #1 remote, I hear this beeping when I first get in. Just a couple quick beeps, and it's happened even if I was the last one in and the seat settings haven't changed. Is that supposed to happen?

Your remotes may be 'Unlinked'. Try pushing the lock and unlock buttons on your remote, at the same time near your car and then see if your memory settings work.

Have you ever had the remotes work properly or the battery disconnected. If so, you need to do an initial set up to make the remotes work on the memory seats. Check the manual as I cannot recall how to program this, but it is really simple.

The beeps you hear are when the memory seats are being reset. You hear one beep before the seats move, and two beeps after they have stopped moving.

I've noticed that my TLS doesn't beep all the time. I still haven't figured out a pattern yet.

mine don't work either

I have not checked with the manual yet, but tried pressing the lock and unlock buttons together as written on the back of the remote. This is supposed to link/unlink the remotes. No result.

I have also tried the procedure that was common with all the cars with memory seats/remotes that I have had in the past (Buick Riviera, Chrysler 300M) and no results either. I guess Acura's procedure is not a common one. Gotta go read the manual.

Thx for the advice.

I pressed lock and unlock together and subsequently when I opened the doors with the remote, voila! It moved the seat to position 1.

I guess the de-linking theory was correct.

BTW I noticed that the seat didn't start moving until I physically opened the door.
