remote sucks - new battery?

My remote seems to work sometimes and not others, I swapped with my spare remote and its even worse. My TL is a 99 so the remote is 4 or 5 years old, do you have to replace the batteries? I dont see any way of doing it, do I have just go to the dealer?

Of course you have to replace the batteries, it's been like 4 years you know? If you bring it to the dealer, most likely they will charge you an arm and a leg for their batteries or just laugh at you. Stop by Radio Shack.

Battery replace is $4 to $8... change one first and see if it's the battery. It might be the receiver.

If both are going bad its usually because of the battery. This is easy to replace so don't go to the dealer. You need battery replacement CR2025 like $2.50 per battery. Just pry the baby apart with a flat head screw driver where there is the insert.
