you kno what... my friend got this item about 2 years ago for his car... i mean it's cool to have it and all... might be fun for the first several times but i dun think it's really practical.... sure is cool though... it tells you what part of the car triggered the alarm and all... he ended up taking it off though... probably because it's not so practical

I had one on my previous car ('93 Vigor) and I loved it and used it all the time.

If it's installed right, it works and is safe. I've heard horror stories of electrical problems from bad installs.

I loved the feature where I could run in a store, but I could activate the system so that I could remove the key and lock the car and the engine would stay running. Very convenient when running in and out of a store, but you want the car to stay running. Theft proof because as soon as you step on the brakes without the key in the ignition, the car would shut off, same goes if they pop the hood.

Loved the fact that on cold or hot days, I could start the car from inside a restaurant and it would be nice and warm (or cool) when I got there.

I haven't gotten around to putting one in my current car, but I definitely recommend it.
