2003 TL Type S w/ Nav. Dealer told me that it would be impossible to install an after market remote starter since it would disable the Onstar System and interfere with the navigation system. However, I would still like to pursue this extra feature. Is this discrepencie accurate and/or is there any way around it? Thanks.

 

the dealer has not idea what he is talking about....bring it to any reputable security/alarm place.

 

It definitely won't interfere with the navigation system, as I have a Clifford Concept 100 with remote start and it works perfectly on my '02 TL-S with navi. Can't say about the OnStar system but I find it hard to believe it would interfere with it. It's typical for some dealers to have their heads up their collective a$$es when talking about aftermarket electronics. Like Andy said, bring it to a reputable shop and check out your options.
