Ya but he needs to get it cooled down!

Just a remote starter... probably $150~$200?

My friend told me that it's particularly useful for a car that is garaged. Some people , like me , still believed that a 5 minutes car pre-heat is required and good for the car. So , I can just press the remote , heat the car while I'm eating breakfast and take a go as soon as I'm ready. Otherwise as Polyman said , I don't see any functionality other than that.

Anyone got "just a starter" installed by acura dealer?
How much is it?
It would be a lot more trouble if I get it installed elsewhere, right?
I would need to program the keys and fobs?

Damn good point BostonTL. I definitely see the functionality of a remote starter in a cold climate. But even in a warm climate like Houston, it would make sense to let a car idle for a few before driving it first thing in the morning. This just shows the love TL owners have for their rides. Above all, I think it would be just another sweet add-on for any TL

I just hope you are opening your garage door first, before you start the car? Your garage will be filled with Carbon monoxide, which can't be good if its attached to your house!

Running a car in a garage is generally not a good idea.
