Anyone out there have red rear turn sigs in JDM style or new TLs taillights? I'm going to replace my hyper white rear turning sigs and I really dont want to go back to amber......but I like to see how it looks or what you guys think before going to red hypers.

I have red hyper bulbs in my tails...at nite when the tail lights are on and i have the hazard lights flashing, they both match really well...i wud gladly take a pic but i have the hyperflasher and can't seem to get the turnsigs in the pic...sorry...

i changed mine to hyper white.....but then i got pulled over for illegal turn signals.....then i changed to the hyper reds.....i love them....bought them from this site...

 

I have red turn sigs on my stock 99 orange tail housing, when they light up, they are pretty red not rilly affected by the orange reflector, matches up quite nicely.

Word. I want to see what they look like with clear tails. Do they look pink?

anyone tried those red LED lights? theyre sposed to be much more true red, not as pink.

 

what brand of bulbs are you guys using? i'll be picking up a pair of Polarg's pretty soon and i hope they match the taillights well.

 

Pics??, Brand?? I tried to put cheap red pep boy bulbs in mine . I threw them right out, they were pink.

 

I have a pair of the red LED, they are ok still not as red as to compare to the break light below the rear turn signal.

 

Unless the housing is red, red bulbs (either polar or led) will never truly match the brake lights. I just install polarg into my TL and 03 Accord. They are redish/pinkish but I like it. If you're looking for complete match with your parking/brake lights look somewhere else. Oh and red LEDS, It turns out about the same as the polarg. Not a complete match either.

 

Well here are pics of red polarg on my '03 Accord...the redness really don't come out good in the pics. They are redder then in the pic but far from a good complete match. I still have stock amber bulbs in the left sig and the polar M23 in the right.

I'll post pic of my red LED (circuitcity $17 for one bulbs, expensive crap) on my 99TL when I have time to do the install. BTW 03 Accord is so much easier to change bulbs.....our TL is a pain in the ass with ripping stuff out to change bulbs.

I hope the pic don't change some of you guy's mind. It looks way better in person and more so at night. Goodluck on your decisions.

 

doesn't look that great in the pic. what colour is the housing of your turn signals? looks like they're yellow. you able to get a close-up?

 

The housing is clear on my 03' Accord (just like my 99TL JDM style) the amber bulbs shows up way better then the red during the day, I just installed on the Accord first because like I said.......30 second bulbs switch out for the Accord vs like 10 mins for the TL. I'll try to do a night shot when I have time....way better then.

 

it should be Polarg M22 for the TL, correct? if you can get a close-up night shot for your TL that'd be great. thx.

 

(7440) M23 99-01 (02-03 uses 1156A), both 03 Accord and 99TL uses the same bulb. My fiancee's has my digital camera and is in Orlando for the weekend visiting her folks so can't take pics. I'll try soon. Also the digital camera seems to change how the lights really look.....my xtreme white turn sigs seems bright then they really are but the red M23 seems to really fadded and seems more yellowish on camera.

 

yeah pre-2002 would use that wedge type 7440. is M23 same wattage as M22? anyone with 2002+ with pix of red turn sig?

looks like a near-perfect match with the taillights...but i prefer bulb over LED. is LED supposed to be brighter?

 

actually my polarg isn't that bad of a match at night either. Yeah LED are brighter

umm had time to put LED in and even tho its a good match in color at night, during the day in the sun its like a red dot.....anyone have this problem? Maybe I pick up a cheap version from circuitcity.....there are about 7-10 leds on it, I don't want to take it out again to count. Also it seems to me that its faster then my front turn sig even tho its not hyper blinking.
