Question Red Optima Battery?

I've been looking through some threads cause by battery is on its way out. Need a jump start as I type this.

Which model number is the Red Optima Battery that you guys picked up? Been reading that its either the 34/78 or 75/34. What's the difference? Don't know what the numbers mean.

And also I've read that the Red top needs the bottom spacer. Does the battery come with the spacers?

Please help me. Plan on picking a battery in a day or so.

Thanks.

Alright thanks guys. Seems like both seem like a good fit.

But now another problem. After jump starting my car this morning, the check engine light is on. Its possible that I have to just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes for everything to reset and hopefully it'll go away. You think thats the problem? If not I'll just bring it to a dealer after I get a new battery.

For godness shake. They are not Gel battery. They are lead acid battery with fiberglass matts in between plates. They are more reliable and this technology has been used in hospital and communication systems for years. Gel cell is the worst battery you could have.

yellow top is a deap cycle. Unless you have a Huge stereo the red top is much better for you living in a cold climate

Yellow top batteries don't last forever. I've had the in two different cars and they do die. The yellow top cost me about $130. So it's not too bad in price. But it does last for a very long time.

Thanks for the help. But after I installed my red top today, the light went off.

Hopefully that information will help someone in the future.

O yeah, I picked up a 75/35 and it works perfectly.

I got the 25-910 from http://www.remybattery.com for $116 shipped.

It's very close in size to OEM, is lighter than the other RedTops, and it looks prettier too.
