Unhappy The reason why you should slow down..

I found the pics from www.s2ki.com and this is just tragic. Yes, the driver died from this crash. Amazingly his gf has survived. It was a brand new E46 BMW M3. I'll let you see the pics and I'll give you the link to the discussion. The link is a few months old. I hope this serves to tell us to slow down and not be speed demons. My condolences goes out to Simon's family.

I posted this here in the TL Discussion because most of the members enter this forum.

considering how safe bmw's are and they were both wearing seatbelts they must have gone over 100mphs when they hit. if it was our cars it would have looked even worse.

Nah. You hit a pole at 75+ you'll shear it in half. Now if you hit a *tree* at 75+, it ain't moving. Remember, if you've got a last second choice between hitting a tree or something else, go for something else. Those things don't move, period.

Unhappy Sad. . .

Well, there you have it: we love to go fast, but unless we are responsible, this could be one of our cars. The next time you think about racing that Maxima or BMW, think of those photos. It isn't worth it to die in a carcrash trying to prove you're Mr. Macho. Let's be careful out there!

tragic

That's so tragic... It's really sad to see... It's such a reminder of how fragile life is and how lucky we are to be healthy and alive.
