rear window wiper

I noticed that many luxary cars don't have a rear window wiper. I was wondering why? My rear window sometimes gets pretty dirty with all the pollen and dust and sometimes i wish i had a rear window wiper, or sometimes it is covered in snow and i think it'll be a lot faster to use the rear window wiper than the defroster.

If you notice, rear window wipers only go on hatchbacks, minivans, and SUVs. Any car that resembles having a seperate trunk does not have rear window washers.

Not necessary..... in Japan, many 4DR sedan has rear window wiper.... Subaru Impreza(last gen, not sure about current gen) is one example.....IMO, it would be better, too as I found many 4DR Sedan rear window traps alot of water drop, and a wiper would be very useful, especially during winter...

Here's one example...if you look closely, you can see the wiper at lower windshield...

Unfortunately we dont live in Japan...so let's keep it realistic and stay domestic. As for your example pic...it doesn't work.

As long as you got the $$$ anything is possible Sometimes it might come in handy especially the combination of rain, dirty pollen covered car, and 20% tint but appearance wise I would not do it.

Nah, don't think I would want it. It would only be of use when you are first getting into your car. After you are moving, the wind beads it off the rear window. I wax my rear window, so water sheets off, and so does the pollen. If it's frosty or whatever, I have a pocket-sized ice scraper/squeegy combo thingy. There's also an Absorber in my trunk. So, no need to mess up the lines with a wiper back there, but that is just my opnion.

well i know it'll look kindda stupid, but if Acura was to design the rear wiper to be hidden into to trunk, it may come in handy on those really rainy days. Just a thought

Hm.. how about US-Bonded Skyline R34s?? IMO, rear wiper is more of a personal preference... some might like it, some don't... just like mud guards....it's depends what you value the most.... looks or functions...
