Rear window defroster
I read a previous post that was related but didn't provide any really good solutions to my problem. My rear window defroster has gotten considerably weak lately, to the point where it just about doesn't work at all. I checked the fuse and it's fine. Is there any way to replace this w/o replacing the $800 windshield? I recently quit the dealership, so no discounts anymore unless my buddy at Acura can help me out. Here's an interesting note..when I bought the car, I had a temp tag in the lower left-hand corner of the rear window for about 3 months. I noticed after I took it down that something must've messed up that portion of the defroster because when I turned it on, I'd have this rectangular patch where the tag was that wouldn't clear the frost. Anyone else had problems with their rear window and how'd you repair it? I love the car, but I'm getting a company truck to drive 5 days a week, and I really don't want to spend $800 on a car that I won't drive much for something so stupid. I'd rather spend money repainting the rock-chipped bumpers or having it detailed every now and then. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Check autoparts stores because I think they have defroster replacement kits. I think they're paint on or stick on wires or something that reconnect broken defroster lines.

Make sure that the wire is conected to the rear window? its possible that its been disconected. Also have it checked/or check it to see if its getting voltage?
