Rear Tie Bar from Accord
Hello,
Someone once talked about getting a rear tie bar/strut bar for an Accord that would fit the 2nd gens.
1.) Can anyone confirm this?
2.) Has anyone hear done it?
3.) Is it worth it?
Thanks,
Joe

I remember reading something like this too. I think he used a rear lower tie bar from an AV6 for the 2nd Gen. I think it was an eBay bar too. I don't know the details but I would love to do this too.

2) It was done by someone on the other website.
3) Not sure if it's a good mod to do or not, not enough feedback from people who have done this. Adding a lower rear tie bar would stiffen the chassis in the rear, but I'm not sure how this would affect handling in understeer or oversteer situations (if at all).

i've seen a few threads of people here doing it. they got good results. keep in mind though tht it will throw your alignment off so you will have to have your car re-aligned.

if you just remove the bolts and place the bar on, then tighten, your good to go .
the rear alignment is locked in by cam washers with teeth on them.
as long as you don't move the car with the bolts off, you'll be fine.
i felt just a little tighter in hard turns....hardly noticable..

the sway bar will reduce roll, this will reduce chassis flex.
