rear springs sagging

i have a 2000 TL. i noticed the rear wheel gaps are a little narrower than the front oens. is this normal? the service manager at my dealer told me its normal for this car ; the springs are softer in the rear for improved comfort. what do you guys think? anyone with the same problem?

when the car is first bought the TL is the same height.. however when you put 2 - 3 people in the back seat the TL's back will lower automaticlly. so realisticlly if u wanna lower ur car just lower the front end put mroe ppl in the back

I posted this a few days ago when I noticed it on my '99. All evidence points to it being "normal" if you can call it that.

Yes, the front gaps are larger in TLs (and Accords). Pick up a TL brochure and look closely; the front wheel well actually arches higher and larger than the rear.

Typical of front wheel drive cars. Every stock TL has a larger gap in the front.

All cars made in the world have a larger wheel gap in the front(stock). Because the front wheels turn and the back wheels don't.

The guy at the dealer is right. The springs in the back are softer.

The H&R springs are also F 1.75 R 1.5. Remember this are approximate numbers.

the comps are not 1.75/1.5 on the tl more like 1.5/1.0 but what does that have to do with anything the rear springs may be softer...that would have alot to do with the fact that we have an engine up front that the springs need to support again has nothing at all to do with the smaller fender well gap in the rear...lastly the TRD SOLARA is 1.25/1.75 now what???thats front/rear
