When you gonna come pick me up in that thing?
its on its way... driving from NY, with say about 5mpg, it'll get there in 3 weeks and cost you $2000/hr

The only thing that would be of consern is that if the engine still fits in the engine bay. I think I'd give up a little trunk space to be able to make tigher turns. (just make the rear seats fold down to make up for it and you're set!)
thats exactly what i was thinking... 3 series size body/handling, the luxo roomy interior of the TL, and the 260hp engine + comptech stuff of course... trunk space will go for audio equipment only

I drove an IS-300 the other day and thought, "damn I miss my old 4-door Integra GSR," that go-kart feel is kinda fun sometimes. But now that I've had the V-6 power, I could only buy something like an IS-300 or RSX if they did something major ... like 250 HP and 220 lb-ft from a small V-6?

The IS300 TRD pace car is ~250HP but with an added SC. Then again anything to mod the IS300 is expensive compared to ours. I was grinding my teeth when I was doing research on how much modding a civic/eclipse was. Man...$300 for headers?!

creative, but it's not pretty compared to the 3 series.

But some interesting ideas there.

One of you Photoshop gurus should make this into a wagon. The "Cross Over" vehicle is the next SUV. Look at the Matrix and the Protge 5.

dubs are 20" wheels aka twinkies, I figured since it had gone this far, why not give it the 100% unrealist concept car treatment. the body drop was just for fun too, you can't body drop a unibody car :p

It's mainly only popular with slammed pickups and vans and the occasional full size car. Basically you cut out the floor of the body wherever it connects to the frame and notch it anywhere from one to over 4 inches thereby lowering the entire body in relation to the frame. Hence the impossibility of doing it on a unibody car. Ever see a lowrider truck so low that the body actually touches the ground? If so, then there's a 99% chance it had a "body drop". It's the exact opposite of the body lifts you see from time to time on big 4x4 trucks.

I'm not sure which car you are talking about, the silver car isn't mine, but those are Racing Harts if you are interested. (sorry, pics of silver car are on another thread)
Mine are the Axis se7en, I paid under $2,600.00 with tires, tax and locks from a shop in Miami and they even mounted 245/35's on one wheel to let me look at it first before they mounted them all so I could pick a tire.
They are on sale at www.wheelmax.com for $1,999.99 with tires!

Gotcha. I'd definitely think a body raise would be alot cheaper than a body drop now that you've explained it.

i dunno... i think both would be equally expensive... its all custom work, not something you can just run into any shop to do, like an oil change... but i'd rather have the unibody construction on the car... much more solid
