Ready 4 Brembos

So it's time to get a big break kit.
I've been thinking about going with Rotara or Wilwood cuz the cash is always tight but I know I will regret it in the long run if I don't get the Bo's. (I learned my lesson when I bought the OBX hedders instead of laying down the cash for the CT's)
Anyways I go to order the kit monday morning ($2100.00...WOW) only to find out that they wont fit under the spokes of my wheels. SHTTT!!!!
Now for most cars thats not a problem they just get a 5mm wheel spacer but not the TL and not with 19x8.5's

I spent a lot of energy trying to accept the 2100.00 that was about to be leaving my wallet, I'd hate for that to be a wash.
SO WHAT TO DO?

shit man thats hella money on breaks! I assume your rims are too deep? I would rather have sweet rims than breaks, but I can understand that now your stock breaks look stupid small...are the Rotara bad? I thought most people liked their rotors on here. My friend has 24's...yes 24's on his Tahoe with the stock breaks

looks hella funny.

wilwood's and rotora's are jsut as good. if i had the choice, i would go with the wilwoods. check the fitment for all 3 sets and go from there.

I measured the distance between where the hub of the wheel tuches the hub on the axle and it comes up about 2mm short.

People are saying that I can grind down the caliper just @ the spot that it would hit the wheel and then get them re-powder coated, but that seems a little sketchy.

thats actually not a bad idea. im sure the caliper will be fine.

get the 5 mm spacers and roll your fenders.

or

Sell your wheels and get correct ones that would fit

or

Sell the BBK

So are you saying you don't have an extra 5 mm of space from your wheel to the fender? You most likely don't, the only way to fit the brembos is flared fenders.

I thought the Rotora BBK was smaller then the Brembos? Did you look into/measure them?

Yeah, but you can pretty much say that about all the mods for the TL. Nobody really races the TL they just like to drive fast and look god while doing it. I admit that the Bo's are more of an aesthetic upgrade then a tru performance mod since I don't run the circuits. But with 90% of my time on the road being peak hour freeway driving it is nice to be able to stop when I need to.

One more thing, for some people driving just isn't their thing, so enjoy looking good while I check out your
H&R Sport Springs, 18" FondMetal 6700, 225 Nitto 555 Extreme, K&N Air Filter, Chrome Shift Plate, De-Badged, NXT Tech Wax,
through my rear view .

his wheels are 19x8.4 with a +45 offset. a 5mm spacer would cause the wheels to rub.
