Post READ: all TL or TLS members!

To make things more FUN... when ever we see another TL or TLS running on the street... flash your highbeem (during day time). This way we know who is on this board.

Who thinks this idea is good???

anyone???

I think so... and I am planing to do so too

I was thinking of something like that too like an "inside thing" high beam sounds good and then how about if the receiving person realizes that it's another tl, they flash the emergency ligts?

Yeah, I heard that too.

I like that idea.

When I was in High School every time we would pass a CJ-7 Jeep, we would honk. Never even knew each other. It was just one of those unpsoken things.

However, every time I see a TL, I want to signal, but half the time they are old men or old women. They probably would think I was harassing them.

If I see a young man or woman, I will usually tap the horn and see how they respond.

Plus, the only members here are Acura3200, and Danny, both easily recognizable cuz Danny has a blue with springs, and Jason has no badging, springs, and Comptech exhaust.

They can easily recognize me cuz I am the only red one with a spoiler and underbody kit.

I don't know guys, our highbeams are kinda bright, if you flashed it at me I would be kinda pissed at u. and I'll definitely put my hazards on. Then come out and beat the crap out of you.

bdimc2001 is a mod? when did that happen? oh well. anyways, most of the ppl i see driving around are some old farts. i went to get my fogs installed and this tl showed up and I was like all excited b/c it might be another mod hungry guy. but then turned out to be another old fart . i was at a giant coming out and there was this cute girl in her 20's loading groceries. i told her nice car and she thanked me. so there ARE cute young ladies driving TL's. But mostly old farts. I'll start flashing all the TL's and CLS's I see.

geez...how warm and fuzzy !

I swear, I am such a happy owner now, every time I see another Acura I want to wave or say hi, but b/c I have an S-type I'm afraid that they will think that I'm showing off....

Yeah, you better watch with the hi-beams in Texas. Everyone and their dog carries a gun here How about we turn on our windshield wipers, left blink, right blink, and honk three times - j/k! The hi-beam thing is kinda cool because their are quite a few H-town members on this board. I say we all get 3 foot tall spoilers with our username written across the backs of them!

i say emergency lights since hi-beaming can really piss some people off. just leave your hazards blinking until you either pass that person or until that person puts his hazards on

I usually flick the hazards on once to greet my fellow *modded* TL'ers. I don't do anything to those with no mods. (It's sorta obvious that they are not from this board.)

Oh, i almost forgot about the subject. I dont know about flashing the lights but maybe honking might be a good idea. Like BDIMC said flashing the hi-beams at people around here might not be a good idea.
What about a little Acura-TL.com sticker or license plate frame?

Personally, I wouldn't put any stickers on my car. I like to keep it clean. But license plate frame (something like SOCAL has) would be cool.

Yeah, don't highbeam... and don't honk. That's annoying, IMHO.

How about high-beaming and the hazards? Either one is cool with me. I know there are mad TLs in the tri-state area. I usually look for the modded TLs also because old people don't mod their cars. So be on the look-out for a modded black TL cruising around.

SOCAL'S license plate frame was exactly what i was thinking of.

I saw a cl with a little acura-cl.com sticker in silver on the bottom of the side window and it didnt look bad. Im not a big fan of stickers either.

I would definetly put a "little" Acura-TL.com sticker on my back window.

Add one more recognizable TL in Stamford, Eddie took off the badging off his trunk on Tuesday.

I was driving near Long Ridge Road and a green TL was behind me and was checking out my car. I took a turn and he beeped his horn and stuck his hand out his window and have me a thumbs up sign. I waved back. That was pretty cool.

You see less corvettes on the streets than you do TLs... just imagine all the Accords flashing or waving at each other... I think the same goes for the TLs... just too many of them to be different...

I personally like Polyman's ideas listed above, particularly the one about the 3-foot high tails. j/k.

Instead of giving eachother the high-beams, how about just raising one hand out of your sunroof and seeing if the other TL driver matches the move. That could work.

I would like to find some other guys from the board on the road. The only person I've seen thus far is Acura3200.

Maybe we just got out TL, and are waiting to put a few miles on it before we start with MODs!

Why don't we all meet up at Cove Island Park the weekend after Easter. I want to get my pass anyway.

Why not try to follow up on that "Anyone from CT" post and try to get a few TL's. I don't know about Cove Island out there. There are a few reasons I'd rather not do this in Stamford. Maybe setup a spot in a central location after seeing how many are interested and where they live.

Or we can just set up a real mini meet at Cove Island. I just don't think it's a great place for a larger TL meet.

You're verylucky. It's an honor to see my car.

Anyway, why not head out to one of the TL meets coming up (that is if a local CT meet doesn't work). I know you couldn't make it to the NJ one last week. I'd be up for a drive if the other 2 or 3 Stamford TL's feel like a road trip.
