Re-wire fog mod help!

Ok, I bought the wiring splicer (3M Trailer Light Tap Connects "For use with 18-1 gauge wire) .. Is this the right wiring splicer? Do I remove the White/Red & Red/Black wiring from the prong? How do I insert the wiring into the wiring splicer? If anyone has any pics on how to re-wire your fogs...I'd greatly appreciate it!

You have to hollow out the closed ends of the splicer. So it looks like 2 round holes.

Ok, on one side there are two openings...on the other, one opening. Which ones do I hollow out?

I am using the DIY provided on this site...but am having trouble. I am totally stumped on how to splice the wires together without having to remove them from the prong it is in.

Make sure you can see through both sides of the connector from one end to the other, like two small tubes joined together in the center. Then take a sharp razor knife and *carefully* cut the plastic in the center so that it opens like a clamshell. Then you can take the two wires and slide them in through the open side so that one wire ends up inside each "tube", side by side. Then you just crimp down on the connector and the internal blade will bite into both wires and make the connection.

I'm starting to think I didn't buy the right wiring splicer. Could anyone post/link a picture of the correct wiring splicer for me?

U don't need a wire spilcer. Goto radio shack and get a wire tap.
