Rattles.... :sigh:

Ok... my rear deck? headliner? sub? rattle is getting worse... it think its the rear deck cuz its worse with bass and bad bumps, like a plastic/plastic rattle....

Second, sounds like driver door front section - or next to the front section on the dash where the fuse panel is -- any ideas?

For the rear deck, get a 10MM socket and tighten the sub bolts. Also check to see if the sub cover is loose. Some people have complained that it rattles against the window. Take a piece of the fuzzy side of vecro and put it on the back of the cover where it touches the window.

i too have noticed this rattle ever since i've been reading posts..normally i dont hear it since i have my music up..but i've been noticing it lately and it does seem like its coming from the back speakers/subwoofer....

nsxnext...i'll definitely use your suggestions to see if i can get rid of those rattles...

its funny that rattles would exist on a mid level luxury sedan....i wouldve expected it on a 20k car..but not on an acura tl......

Where is the sub bolt located at?

You have to lift off the cover that goes over the sub. It's the thing with the Bose emblem on it. Once you lift it off, there are 4 bolts that hold the sub down. Make sure they are tight.

I would drive around with the cover off and listen for the rattle. If it goes away, the rattle is coming from the cover.
