i know someone posted something about this.
i get rattle coming from driver side firewall...well...it is high up, behind the dashboard, almost like it's behind the vent on the driver side.

it does not seem to be suspension related, as it does when at a standstill with brake on, and seems only to do it when using the accelerator.

somebody here posted a thread about this, and said the dealer replaced
some kind of actuator that was bolted to the firewall.

any ideas?.

before i take it to get looked at?...

 

Yeah, that was me a while ago. The name of the part they replaced is the "purge solenoid valve", and yes it is located on the firewall. It was covered by warranty so they shouldn't give you any grief about it. Good luck

 

did it make a rattling sound?.
but not necessarily when when going over bumps and stuff?.
sometimes even when just creeping along?.

 

No this was a fairly loud ticking sound whenever I hit the accelerator, it came from the drivers side firewall. It most noticably happened when accelerating from a stop.
