Ran w/modded RSX-S

Friends got a RSX-S with ram air, and NOS. Due to leaving VSA on he took off the line for a good 1 and a half car lengths. SportShifted third and pulled on him. Rode his back bumper and kept gaining on him but had to back off. FYI...he didn't have his NOS bottle with him.

Anyways, guess I should've turned VSA off. Wasn't sure how much the tires would spin if I did, so left it on.

Surprised the $hit out of him on how well I stayed with him. Knew if we had more room, I would've had him.

My ABP 03TLS is stock. Will probably do a CAI and then try him again. this time with VSA OFF!!!!

Even with him having a ram air and you being stock, I think if you got a good launch, you'd smoke him. I've never had any experience with NOS, but I suspect that would give him quite an edge.

Yeah turn the VSA off. If you race him again before he gets the NOS hooked up. Smoke the tires a bit and get them sticky, you'll look stupid but you won't look stupid when you're smokin him........Hopefully

an rsx-s may get 200hp but it only gets 141 max torque (short ram good for a little more) never race with VSA on, and you should be able to take him

I wouldn't call a car with ram air modded

I realixe he had nos, but if he wasn't spraying, then it's a close race. Stock RSx's run low 15's high 14's, same as a TLS. Although bear in mind Honda designed the RSX to be a "twisties" kind of car, not a straight line car. Having all that high RPM hp is blast when driving through the curves.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. I guess I've been away from doing this kind of thing for too long. I probably should've power braked for a good launch too, right? I was a bit worried about my tranny though! Ever since reading many of the posts here I'm real cautious. Plus I'm only 800 miles new. I past that 600 mile B/I point and wanted to see what she could do. :p
