Rain and SRS light help

I left my sunroof open today during a good rain storm. My 2 front seats and my rear floor mats were all wet. I dried everything off, but now my SRS light is on. I followed the reset procedure, but it comes back on. Any suggestions?

hmm sounds like your passenger side air bag position sensor got toasted, you might have to get that replaced.

i dont know off hand, i believe there is a diy on how to fix the heated seat, and it shows you how to take the seat apart, but thats not going to really help a whole lot in finding were its located. someone else should chime in and give a little more help.

all i know is that its electronic, its around/in that seat area, and water doesnt mix well with it.

Isnt there a extended warranty on that sensor to 150k miles or 10 years? I wonder if i could act dumb and get it covered under warranty.

Does anyone know what part it is?
5 81127-S0K-A71 PAD, R. FR. SEAT-BACK (WITH OPDS SENSOR)
19 81334-S0K-A73 OPDS UNIT

I am guessing it is part 5 since that is right behind the perforated part of the seat.

Because of a class action settlement, the
warranty extension coverage for the OPDS unit and the
OPDS sensor on 2002–03 3.2CLs, 2002 MDXs,
2002–04 3.5RLs, 2002–04 RSXs, and 2002–03 3.2TLs
purchased or leased between April 13, 2002, and
November 7, 2006, is now 10 years or 157,500 miles,
whichever occurs first. For more information, refer to
Service Bulletin 06-050, Warranty Extension: Vehicle
Warranty Mileage.

I took my car in to the dealer the other day for diagnosis. Turned out to be a bad OPDS sensor in the seat. They covered it under warranty and I am picking it up today.

that SRS parts extended warranty is still good even on salvage title cars-
so is the seatbelt retractor mechanism that sticks-slows belt retraction

I also just took my car into the dealership today, and it ended up to be that problem. Going to get it repaired this Thursday as they have to order the part...

Thats cool man. Be ready for a firm passenger seat. Not going to be broken in anymore with those new cushions lol
