Sup ya'll,

I'm in the Houston area and I've noticed my radio reception is not as good as my mom's I30, which is almost flawless. What's up with that? Sometimes there is lots of static.

Is there anyway I can improve reception? I just got 20% tint in the back windshield, so would that be a factor? I don't think it covers up the ingrained antenna, unless I'm mistaken and the antenna is in the front....

I just bought an 03 w/navi and my reception blows- I am far out of the city of Chicago although I have noticed my Nextel phone interfers with myreception- Try turning your phone off- Just a thought

 

I have the same problem. I can hear it if I listen carefully enough. I have 35% tint on. Where I live it may also be because of the WTC, since the antenna was on top of one of the towers. Next time I'm driving my Sable I'll listen carefully to see if there is static.

Its not a big problems for me, I'm also thinking that it could be my cellphone

My radio gets interferance whenever I turn on my cell near the radio. I don't know why...

 

Aight, my reception was perfect, and then i had my car tinted 20%. Now when i put the rear defroster on, i get static on the radio

 

I never had a problem with or without tints. As for the phone static... certain phones (Nextel for sure) interfere with the radio. My Startac hasn't given me a problem yet....
