Radio Code Not Working (and other weird problems after jump start/new battery)

Did a quick search and found this thread, https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-p...orking-961438/
but wasn't sure if it applied to the 2G Acura TL or the OP's 4G, so posting anyway

Recently, my battery died all the way down. I jumped it with a battery pack but had to use the "Boost" feature (which I guess shoots the car battery with some juice?). Anyways, I had the key in the On position so when I jumped it and a bunch of weird things happened:

- car alarm came on and did not stop -- I temporarily solved this by pulling the horn relay, went away after getting a new battery
- fan blower came on and did not stop (no matter what) -- fixed with a new blower motor resistor
- air mix controller seems busted so only getting heating but not cooling -- I think I just need to get a new one and put it on, it's expensive at $200 so will be trying a junkyard
- radio reset code doesn't work using the one from the website, which is also the one on the glove box sticker -- I get Err1, Err2, etc. with successive attempts

According to that other thread, I may have to enter the code while underground in a parking garage where there's no radio signal? Does that actually affect the radio code reset procedure? Is there a chance I may have fried the radio antenna and that's why it's not taking the code?

Any other ideas?

Ok, I did a bit more searching and found these threads:

Apparently this antenna issue is for real. What a wacko design?!? Luckily, I park in an underground garage so will definitely drive the Acura and try this tomorrow...

Also, maybe it's obvious, but people should not jump / "boost" the car when the key is in the ignition. This radio thing might be unrelated but doing that has caused me other problems.

As far as the radio, I would have to pull the antenna cable out of the radio, enter the code, then plug the antenna cable back in. Luckily it's fairly easy to reach via the drivers side kick panel.
