radio code error fix

I had to get a new battery for my tl and when it came time to enter the codes for the navi and radio I still had the security card with proper code to restart both. The navi worked fine but the radio kept on giving me "Err-1" and so on. This is not the first time I had to enter the code so I know that I am entering it right.

The serial number matches my card as well. (just turn off the radio, hold on the #1 and #6 button and then turn on the radio power)

I tried to reset the radio by pulling the radio fuse on the passenger side (#9) but same results after re-entering the code.

I was in the process of ripping out the old radio and putting another one I got from ebay, but removing the one screw next to the ODBII port was a b**ch made me stop.

I search this site and the other site and found a little suggestion from the other site that I couldn't believe would work. Pull the antena cable from the radio out and put it back in. It really works. I tried again with the correct code but got err1, but when I pulled the antena cable out and back in, the radio work.

Anyways, I hope this helps those who might have the same problem.

Thank you for having your results here. I have read somewhere of removing the antenna cable, but for some still couldn't believe that would do the trick.
