Major leak at 35000 km. Is this another failure trend like the trannies ?

 

I have seen only one rack in a TL go bad in the 2 years I worked for the company. I dont think that its a trend.

yeah, i have never heard of that happening to a tl. I asked my friend who is a service guy at acura and he said since 99 he hasnt see that happen.

 

Got my car back this week. Leak is fixed however the steering wheel feels very light. Not sure if that would have anything to do with the rack and pinion replacement. The dealer did a wheel aligment and all....

Any ideas?

 

a full preasureized system.. the small leak could have been reducing the power assist making it feel harder to turn?

 

Possible... I sort of prefered the harder steering feel I had before...

I will be back at the dealer next week for driver seat squeaking noise, driver door frame tape replacement and trying to get new tires (hopefully replaced under warranty...) I had an aligment problem before that caused the tires to worn unevenly.... You think I can get those replaced for free?

 

Power steering is not right again. I can feel it isn;t smooth in small turns and also something binding and kicking during turns... Wonder what the dealer will do about it... will likely loose the car again for a few days. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

 

The dealer said they felt the rubbing etc... but they said to come back after 1000 km to see if the bug is still there ((((((((((( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have the felling they dont want to find the problem now....

And the squeaking driver back seat problem is still there.. They said it was the leather....!!!!!!!!!!! I will show them the SB 00-014 and give them a copy. maybe they cant read........ The SB details exactly how to fix that creaking noise !!!!!!

I am mad now........
