Racing troubles

Ok, so i'm an occational racer but for a while now I've had some many chances to race against ricers. For example today....I see this girl that I kind of know and she pulls behind me and at first we go at normal speed and I see her pull next to me and speed up so I wait a little and I speed up a little and pull next to her and for the next few blocks I stay ahead then see turns away....and a few mintutes later I see a red tercel with "powered by toyata" sticker on the front windsheild. He's coming faster on my right so i drop it to 2nd and blast off to 60, being a good sport I slow down and at the next light he turns like a lil b!tch. Nobody wants to race.... the only real racing is when I'm with my friends and we race each other, but never get one where someone pulls next to me and we take off and stay on the same road......they always turn or they just become a dim light in my rear view....

Yo ray, I couldn't agree with you more. When people are pullin up in my rear view like they want some and then turn off or even worse don't have the cajones to get it in with me, it drives me crazy, no pun intended. I mean if you think you flex like that, show me. I will race anything at any time knowing 9-out-of-10 times they will be admiring the letters ACURA written in gold.

I know......why do they fear us so much? One of my friends was talk Sh!t because my car was an auto and I shut him up after I beat him 3 times in a row.

BS! The last time I saw you, I tried to line up with you at the mall parking lot...then you turned chicken sh*t and ran the other way (j/k)!

Just imagine...1/16 race in a crowded parking lot during Xmas season...wouldn't that be fun?

On a serious note...have you ever though that people don't want to race you because of your extremely dark tints? Personally I'm more carefull around those cars because you never know...

given the broad range of ownership, i don't think many spirited drivers go out looking to race tl's. i would bet more than 3/4 of tl's are owned by middle age parents who just enjoy their mid-luxury vehicle.
TubbysTL-S - don't be fooled by most of the "4 cyl SHT boxes" you see out there. if you're talking about pure speed, there are plenty of "4 cyl SHT boxes" that can out accelerate and outhandle the tl(s). at the same time, there are plenty of much more expensive luxury vehicles that don't perform as well as the tl. if you don't believe me, we can take it to atco when the weather warms up. i'm not saying that my 9 year old sentra se-r is on par with the tl, but on the drag strip, i believe it can hold its own. at the end of the day, the sentra is still a "4 cyl SHT box", but if racing is what we're talking about, then the price/asthetics/amenities of the car should be left out of the discussion.
disclaimer: i am not a proponent of the "rice out" phenomenon that has swept across the continental us. i am merely defending the very small population of enthusiasts who have a passion for "spirited driving" and a limited budget.

Hhaahah....it's just ur TL was slow...I'm sorry if my CL can't slow down to 40mph...it's a CL type S after all ... j/k

But yea...people always thinking your a mobster when you have dark tinted windows...just cause sometimes I get out of my car and my gun drops...sheeesh. But yea...I figured sometimes people probably don't wanna run because of how dark the tint is...that's why sometimes I cruise with the windows down.

I'll race ya

I don't know, but I've always got races... Most high-school punk kids don't know what's up their B16 Civc asses until they can't even see my tail lights... then they'd get mad and try to do a fly-by. and when I mean "try", they just "try"... They can never "do" a fly-by . The thing I love the most is to challenge the domestic V8's like Camaros, Mustangs or Trans Ams. They'll just laugh at me until I start pulling away from them slowly.
