racing tranny

My friend told me that his manager got a type s and had a racing transimission sent in from japan....I didn't really believe him, but is there such thing?

Is it a "racing" auto tran with fake clutch pedal, aka footbrake? Or a tran with racing sticker on it?

im guessing its a TL-P with some sticker / paint mods on the engine and mods to make it look like a Type S

the 5spd tranny are made in USA...not japan...

Actually, for US built TL and TL-S, the tranny is the ONLY part that is imported from Japan.

"replacing it with a racing tranny" = acura code word for your tranny is dead and we need to keep the car for a few weeks

unless he got the tranny that veilside sells...............only upshift/downshift but it has a clutch!! hehe
but that goes for $16,000...so wats the point in puttin it on a tl

if he was THAT rich... why the hell would he buy a TL in the first place? tell that guy that the people over at the acura forum say he's FULL OF SH*T.

most of the problems with honda's can be traced back to the assembly plant, not where the parts originated.

made in america with pride is a joke, look at chrysler/ford/gm, their tolerances are crap and they know it.

they can't compete with the big three imports and they have admitted it.
