Raced a RSX-S yesterday
Well..it was a good run. i knew i won't have any chance to take a Type-S. We were at the light and i saw he got a stick at the side say " AEM " so i rev at him. he rev me back..so i was like, " he!! yet ,boy" TCS off. power brake at 2000 rpm. light green, i spin my tires really bad. but he didn't spin his tires. so i was like . man i got a really good stick driver next to me. he gain half of car by the end of my 1 gear. i raced him until 110 mph, he was like 3 car in front of me.

ah... The TL-Ps...
Did you read my post going against an RSX-S? I have header/exaust/pulley/cold air intake... I beat the RSX-S by 3 car lengths at the end of quarter mile (probably 91MPH)... The first time was 2 car lengths. He got pissed. Anyway, time for some mods!

I test drove one today, yes an RSX type-S.....that ***** was slow.....11 miles on it and was reving 8k rpms :wow:
You could only feel the power above 6.5k rpms. Thank god it has an 8k rpms red line. No impressed at all with the power.
I did love the clutch. very nice. IMO the RSX-S is not worth it for $23k.

Torque it had no power what so ever at low Rpm's. I'm an excellent manual driver. I'm dying to get another stick car, but I love the looks of my TL....Maybe G35 6 speed or skyline R34.
That crap would never have a chance against a TL, unless VTEC is driving. J/K.
Plus the engine was noise at idle. True that the car only had 11 miles, but not impressed at all.

hmmm i dunno guys... RSX-S is pretty fast... it could, and has done, 14.8 in 1/4.... of course we cannot rely on professional track times but it tells us what the car can do... so i'm pretty sure that RSX-S will kill TL-P... can't say the samething about TL-S though
cars like RSX-S has to be driven at high revs to feel the power... it only has 142tq at 6000.... and also peak hp is at 7400... which means you better drive it like you wanna kill it to feel it move... same goes for S2000

Both my friend and I had 2000 TL's before he traded for the RSX-S and I traded for the TL-S. I can tell you that the RSX-S is faster than the TL-P without question, although my buddy is probably one of the best at rowing through the gears, so that doesn't hurt.
I was running .5 seconds and 4mph faster than him last night at the track, but at some point his Injen filter came off and I'm sure that wasn't doing him any favors. Lastly, I'll say that the RSX-S is hard as hell to launch nicely. He was pulling 2.4-2.5 second 60' times all night long
Anycrap, my best run last night was .2 off of what I've done before, but not too bad. Best run was 15.001 @ 94.42. Heat really kills performance as my mph went down by 1.8 when I didn't raise the hood to allow things to cool between runs 1 & 2. Back up in the 94's on 3 & 4. For comparison, there was a really cool guy (lent us tools when my buddy's filter came off) from NJ in a white 25th Anniversary Maxima with a stick on 18's (made me a little nervous when I first saw it) running 16.0. I'm sure his 18's were killing him, but his stick definitely helped -- I was happy to be almost a full second faster anyway.
We should have a track night for to South Florida TL/CL people. Moroso is open every Wednesday and Friday for test & tune...
(Forgot to mention there were 3 WRX's there, too. 13.6 @ 103, 13.5 @ 101 and 13.8 @ 99.. sweet rides)
