So I pull up to a set of lights on Dufferin today and I get the go ahead from the guy in the M3, with his girl sitting beside him. So I quickly shut VSA off, turn off the air, put the shifter into 1st gear (gate shift), and begin to power brake. The light turns green. He spun off the line like a mother f*cker and I had him up until about 75 km/h. Then he f*cking passed me by about 2.5 car lengths. I was very very surprised seeing as the TL's are soo fast during their peak in VTEC. BMW must be pumping out some serious power. Anyhow, he won that time, but at the next light he came to a complete stop and I kinda cheated to make up for my sluggish TL-S compared to his M3. I slowed down way way before the light, so that by the time I hit the light at 30 km/h, it would turn green and I would get a moving start. So I did. I know, it's totally a cheap move, but hey it makes me feel good. When I did this, I obviously had him for a while. He didn't pass me until about 160 km/h, but I must say I was completely at the floor, and his car still seemed to have some juice on it when he passed me.

Bottom line, the M3's are faster then our TL-S. Period.

was it the new ones or the older ones. regarless it was obvious u were gonna lose

obviously the m3 are gonna be much faster. you have to race an older model such as around 95 or 96 to beat them..

our car are fast but the m3 stick 6speed with 333 hp or older models such as 270 or 290. whatever, are going to be much faster than our tl s.

it would have to be the newer ones, the older ones only had 240 hp...i think........

Yeah........i believe the 92-98 M3s have 240.....my friend got a 98....their pretty damn quick....but we havent raced yet and i think that would be a pretty damn fair race........but new m3's..... no chance........333 hp is way outta our league.......then again their 3x more expensive.....so what else would you expect

sc354 nice try son even all the mods you do wit TL-S even the new 04 TL still will get burned by 02 03 M3'S just no way 4 door against 2 Door and car is lighter just no way but i know one thing my fiance owns a c32 amg and it smoked a M3 without a doubt.

yah guys, it looked like it was either an '02 or '03 M3 coupe. If it was the M3 cabriolet, would I have had a chance???

I think the cabriolet's are slower then the normal coupe.
