Raceconcepts Rotors Installed

Picked up my set of x-drilled slotted rotors from race concepts and had them installed yesterday. Got in the car and was excited not to have the steering wheel constantly. Got up to about 40 and had to apply the brakes cuz a light was coming up. The whole damn car starting shaking and the steering wheel was shaking like hell. It was pretty bad. Way worse than when the other rotors were warped! I knew that it would be ok to drive and I didnt have time to go back and have them looked at. Well, after the 15 miles that it took me to get home, the shaking had completely gone away. I am thinking that it was just the zinc coating. Maybe it wasnt not evenly coated. But now all is well. They feel great and look great too. Just wanted to let you guys know who ordered these breaks to not freak out if this happens to you.

your brakes are gonna feel really loose for the next few days. you MUST break them in properly. Otherwise, your pads will not bed into the rotors properly. I suggest going to an empty lot and doing 60-0, 45-0, 30-0, a few times. I did that and my brakes felt alot better afterwards. However, they did not completely set into the rotors for a few hundred miles.

Do you have like a clicking sound? Like a card hitting the spokes on a bike.

I have raceconcepts crossdrilled/slotted rotors on my gs and have held up very well. I have about 8k on them and so far so good. I will tell you they will rust!!! I have let my car sit for a day or 2 w/o driving it and they will be rusted when you look at them. I have the zinc coated and they still rusted. I also have ebec greenstuff pads. These are very nice.
