Who do you think will win a 3.2TL Type S or a 530i?

 

Be a good race!!, Just dont mess with the 540.

 

Been there, done that. Stock for stock, if both get a good launch, TL-S wins.

 

I just spanked one on Targee St. in Staten Island. A black 530.

 

I think TL-S will win no matter it is a stick or an auto.

 

TLS, anytime, anyday..530 only has 225 hp, and the car weighs as much if not more than the TLS, so with 260 hp, no prob. But don't mistake one for a 540, cause you'll learn a lesson in spankage real quick.

 

Real quick, as in about 5 seconds as the 540 shows his tail lights to you... :o

 

Raced a 530i in Staten Island on Father Cap. a while ago. Nothing to worry about. Once you get to 3rd gear in SS you should be about 4-6 car lengths ahead.

 

530? lol joke. that thing weighs like a house. too ****ing heavy, no change what so ever.

 

530 is slow....

 

it isn't that slow...it has more than enough power...can do 0-60 in 7sec flat either auto or manual...

it's a gd choice if u can't afford the mightly M5 and 540

 

I believe that below 100 mph TL-S can keep up with 540 auto and should be much faster that 530. I drove almost all BMW models during recent 745 presentations in NYC and 6-cylinder BMWs do not feel fast at all. Even 330 auto feels slower than TL-S. Those inline sixes are very smooth but nowhere as powerful as TL-S in VTEC range. TL-S should be able to beat X5 4.4 too.
