No, there's no clicking. The only thing that happens is the TCS light on the dash comes on. And TLs don't have Heads Up Displays.

Its a heads up display if the driver suffers from
rectal cranial inversion syndrome!

Want to know if its working?
Throw some water on the street and from a stop hit the gas.
If one wheel spins then the brakes apply and release to slow that wheel down, TCS is working.
Only works up to 18 MPH

TRACTION Control System- it does really help on slippery places like painted lines on wet roads and icy or snow covered areas WHEN first starting from a stop.
Best for drivers who lack throttle control and understanding of basic physics

The new TL has some freakish CONTROL system that applies brakes and moderates throttle if you push to hard into a corner or do somethng crazy like dive across 4 lanes of freeway in the snow and the car thinks you are about to loop it, take over and regains control- but you are still in charge of the steering wheel

As for the one TCS not working- Did you go do the water test?
Failed- no traction control ??-
if TCS light ON- system OFF
test the switch itself- does electricity flow thru it?
Hard to believe the system is down without yellow warning lights of some type glaring at you

Amazing information is found in the owners book
If none with your car there is a thread with free download link- use search in 3rd gen
