That's what I love about this board

We have a lot of intelligent posters who convey their opinions with dignity and class. It is truly a pleasure to argue a point here.

Thanks Daverman (who I happen to agree with)

and

Thanks eztider (who I disagree with)

As far as the original point of debadging, I do it because I like the clean look, and the confused look people give when trying to figure out what kind of car I drive. I've done it to all of my cars and trucks, and always will.

I also did it for a more clean look. Is the a Type S emblem a vandal magnet? How many people here really got it stolen?

debadged.

people are after the @ anyway i think because mine got swiped.

either way the car looks better with just the @. i appreciate the dent that was leftover from the f*in thieves though, thanks.

if you dont like it debadged, put it back on. hope you guys dont let what other people think affect your decision.

I am constantly amazed at how these seemingly innocuous threads turn into such great philosophical debates.

Stealing anything from anyone displays an utter lack of respect. Period.

Oh, mine are coming off. Not that I'm that worried about them being stolen, I just like the clean look and they keep snagging my towels.

Well you know I was the foreman of the jury in a murder trial once. Two jurors wanted to hang the guy and two others wanted to sleep with him. So I know opinions on right and wrong and pretty much everything else (like how the car looks debadged) are all over the map.

No one is saying stealing isn't wrong. You have to know the difference between the thief who steals your car (or your big screen teevee, Daverman) and some kid doing some stupid thing like stealing your badge. All of you guys did something similar in your testosterone-addled youth, don't lie and say you didn't. You didn't get caught (maybe) and you grew out of that stage. Yeah I could get worked up over someone stealing something important but frankly the badge just isn't that important. I'm not going to waste any brain cells worrying over a $33 emblem; life's too short for that. I'm not going to take it off and hide it in the glove compartment. If it disappears again I'm going to go get another one. It's just that simple for me.

Post-de-badge observations...

Well, the adhesive was not a problem to remove. A little Maguir's cleaner wax removed the residue.

I did not much mind the 3.2TL and Type-S emblems, but I hated trying to clean around the A C U R A (always snagging the towel).

I am not sure how I like the look, since the @ is so high up on the trunk instead of centered. But, it is alot easier to clean.
