Quick question about radio codes...

Hey guys, just wondering if I have my radio code for my 99' TL, and I buy a new 6 disc radio from eBay without the code, will my code work for the 6 disc? If it won't, how do I go about getting one? Thanks....

B/f you install the 6 CD changer, take off the serial code from the changer and Call acura parts. provide them the serial #, and they'll give you the 5 digit #. Take extra precaution to make sure the stereo come from a TL and not a CL. I just bought one advertised for a TL from Ebay, and it ended up being from a CL, which I'm returning right now. They have one listed for a TL right now on Ebay as well (w/ a scratch) which is actually from a TL, though has a scratch. As I'm looking for one myself, we might be bidding against each other in the future

When installing, take care not to confuse from which parts the different screws came from, as the online writeup does not mention all of them.

Ditto....

I am assuming you mean a 6 disc changer from a TL or at least not an aftermarket brand like JVC etc that does not require a code. If it is a TL from an acura just call acura with the serial numbers.... if not you wont need a code at all.

you should watch for TL radio. TL radio has 3 connectors in the back, while CL only has 2. TL has 2 horizontal connectors & one vertical seperating on the side. I think. Hope this help.
