if u ran an engine with a broken pulley or no pulley at all would it damage your engine or just cause your alternator and power steering not to work?

It depends on where it's broken. If the pulley broke clean off the crankshaft, then you would lose all your accessories such as A/C, PS, etc. The engine will still run, but you will get warning lights everywhere.

If the pulley broke but got jammed in there somehow and got the crankshaft stuck, then umm, bye-bye engine.

I'm installing my UR pulley set this weekend. I'll most likely post a quick write-up, and follow-ups. I'm really looking forward to having these on my car. After the headers, the RPMs climbed a lot quicker, and the pulleys will help with that, too.

The reason i asked is i have the honda care extended warranty , and i have a lifter problem or the local dealer thinks i have a broken rod, and the service advisor suggested i remove my pulley so the warranty guys dont give me any shit, but its 100 to take it off then 100 to put it back on again, so should i or shouldnt i?
