Quick Motor mount question..

I did my side, rear tranny, and about to do rear main mounts on my 00' tl-p. Front has been done once, only 20k (5yr) ago...

-(car off) If i can fit my finger (about 1/2'') between the metal and rubber within the front mount does that mean it is BAD?

I will attach a photo in order to show where exactly I am getting this measurement from on the "front" motor mount.

There is supposed to be a gap. If you would like to make them stronger take some 3M window weld and fill that area.

There is a gap other than how the one is in Attached Pic..That is normal?..shouldn't the mount look like that one or is it just the weight of the motor that compresses the mount that much?

-Thank you for the quick reply fsttyms1
