Replacing headunit and speakers. Brackets from crutchfield do not seem to work for crap.

how do i mount the new speakers. i have been attempting to make a spacer/bracker using the old speaker basket. should i just get some 1/4 wood and make a bracker/space with that or what. would i drill that straight into the door frame?

please help. i'm determined but frustrated

I checked those esp the 2nd gen tl. i have a 99 model. the trouble i am having is mounting the new speakers to the door
