Quick CAI Question

Ok I just installed my new CAI into my 03 tl-s, after everything was connected i noticed that the this tube that i highlighted in red (took pic from the DIY thread)

was bent a little, is this a problem? is that tubing connected to something important that if it does'nt get enough air will mess with my car?

one last question, will i need a bypass valve on my intake since its raining right now in the bay area? i heard some people talking about its only a problem if it gets submerged, i was thinking i dont since it has the plastic covering at the bottom and I dont think much water will go through there.

thanks

u only need a bypass valve if your bumper gets submerged in water, so if u driver threw flooded areas or your area floods id keep the bypass valve on.

the tube i believe is for coolant. if its not connected coolant will spill out.

You don't really need the bypass valve. I've never had a problem in over a year with rain/snow/salt/puddles/slush. The hose is also fine, it's not a problem. Just make sure you clean that filter ever 6 months or so.
