Questions re: Comptech headers
Are the Comptech headers worth getting? Are they easy to install? I'm kinda a "do it your-selfer". This may be out of my league i'm afraid. Any help would be appreciated.

I have looked at the instructions (they are available on both this site and the Comptech site), and honestly, it doesn't look like it would be out of your league if you are comfortable working on cars. From what I can tell, you don't have to do anything special, like pull the engine. You basically just remove the exhaust manifolds back to the catalytic converter and replace them with the headers.
When I add headers, I plan on at least attempting the install myself. It will probably take the better part of a day, but I will save a few hundred bucks and get the satisfaction of doing it myself.

If you have a reasonable set up for getting under your car and working, I don't see any reason you couldn't do it. Make sure you order two new exhaust gaskets if you order the headers, there not included.
Will you notice a difference, a little in the VTEC range, but don't expect to be amazed. You'll have to decide for yourself if it is worth it to you.

It's as simple as removing a few nuts and bolts -- the real problem is where they're positioned. I took one look at the rear section and decided against messing with it myself. You need to get way up in there and it just didn't look like a lot of fun.
I notice a pretty big difference from 5800RPM and up... No question about it I can 100% feel a difference... it starts to pull very nicely no doubt. Not much power below that... at least none that my poorly calibrated Butt Dyno can feel.

A Dyno that goes from 175 lb.ft to 200 lb.ft and extended that ( thats to the headers) up to 6.5krpm is very nice.
Max HP on the wheels will jumpr from a stock 195-200HP to 240HP.
