I'm thinking of buying a TL on ebay. A lot of them are outside of CA. Can you anyone tell me what I need to know when buying a car from out of state such as cost of licensing, registration and delivery.

It differs from state to state a little, but usually you get a temp tag from the state you are buying it from to transport to your state (in pa, the temp tag is a cardboard plate). in pa, to get the temp tag you have to have proof of insurance, just like registering a car in PA, but the temp registration is cheaper and expires in 30 days.

then you go to your state and change the title and register the car or do whatever CA does.
