1) Why did you buy an Acura TL?
2) When did you start doing modifications on it?
3) How many of your mods were the result of reading Acurazine?

 

1_ bought my 3G in Nov 05. bought it bc it was the best bang for the buck and i fell in love with it when it was introduced in 04.

2_ started doing small mods about a month after purchase.

3_ all my mods have been attributed to acurazine. here are my mods in order.
1)---- Sirius starmate in the lower console, courtest of Millerrh
2)---- LED lights in doors, coutesy lights front/back, reverse lights, and license plate lights, tint 35% all around, courtesy of all
3) ---- Shaved door handle, courtesy of Michaelbenz
4) ---- integrated Keyfob, courtesy of DaveD.
-------- I started iwth little things and when the weather gets a little nicer i will do body kit, rims, suspension.... when my tax return comes i wanna get AEM CAI, Valentine V1, and maybe short shift kit.

 

1. Actually I was going to buy a 2001 TL back in 02 to replace my 00 Accord that was stolen. I test drove the TL and It felt too much like the Accord that was stolen. Plus The salesperson totally turned me off to the TL When she said "I don't know what kind of luxury car you expect to get for under $25K" Then I stumbled accross a great deal on a 00 Infiniti Q45t. So I bought that instead. When I wanted to buy a new car again this past October I turned to the TL again, plus now I could get a type-S w/navi!

2. About a month ago.

3. ALL of my mods were due to ACURAZINE. This place is great! Thanks to all that have helped out in here...

Here is what I have...
-INJEN CAI
-Unorthodox Racing Ultra S pulley
-Comptech axle-back exhaust
-DC Sports headers (we'll see how this one turns out)

I also installed Blue LED interior lights, Lexan Lenses with Yellow fog bulbs, PIAA Super Sporza wipers, Blitzsafe IPOD adapter w/KUDA mount, and Red Sillicone hoses in the engine bay.

Bought my 99 in July of 99. I just loved the styling of it and had a lot of luck with my previous car (91 Integra GS).

At the time there weren't many mods available for the 2nd gen TL. Tim Piscitelli, the original owner of www.acura-tl.com forum did an amazing job working with different vendors to get them to make stuff for our car. I was one of the first to have:

Comptech springs
Comptech headers
Comptech sways
Comptech exhaust

I've got just about every available aftermarket Comptech part for our car (sans supercharger)

1) My dad got a good buy-out price on his lease so he did that and now it's mine
2) Earlier this year when the lease ran up
3) Yes, and all I dream about are new more expensive mods that acurazine placed deep in my mind that I can't afford
