Question regarding the break indicator.

Hi folks!

I had a little problem. Ever since I had my tranny replaced, it has happened twice that after releasing the hand break (leg break... ) the indicator staying on..... which is quite annoying...
It only happens when the temp suddenly drop.. like last night, the temp dropped to -1........ anyone has any idea what to do? Is it under warranty still?

More than likely is a sticky switch or because you said that the temp dropped to -1, your pads are sticking to the rotor. The cable might need a little adjustment. Take it to the dealer to get it re-adjusted.

I had the exact same problem awhile back. The brake indicator would come on if I pushed on the brakes in the early morning and wouldn't go off until I drove for a few miles.

I took it into the dealership and they replaced a sensor in the master cylinder. Only took them like two hours. Problem solved. They probably bumped it or something when they put your new tranny in.

Since u have a 2000 TL as well, I am assuming it's a 5 years or 100,000 km warranty thing... that's great... thanks a lot!
