I know there hasn't been a post in this thread for 2 years, but I had 2 questions.
1. I accidentally bought sandable primer that was black... will this screw up the color?
and
2. I bought the dupli-color Satin silver metallic (I know i probably should have bought the true mixed colors), but after 3 coats there isn't a nice shiny metallic color to it, it's a bit dull and almost no shine. Will this go away after clear coat, of should I sand it down and spray it again?
Thanks, for any help.

Are you talking about for the engine cover? Primer is always recommended, or a adhesion promoter for plastic. IF you use the high temp paint you used on the brakes, NO, clear is not needed.
