Hello to all my tl-s brothers! I am one of the unfortunate cl-s owners who fell victim to theft and had to have my right head light bulb replaced. The thieve wasn't able to steal the bulb but he managed to break it along with the right fender so they both had to be replaced. To make the long story short, the body shop did a decent job but I have one minor issue: the replacement bulb appears to be more yellowish than the one from the factory. The difference is slight but noticeable. This observation led me to speculate
1)did I get a defective part or (2)is it normal for HID bulb to change color over time.
By the way, I've had the car since 5/2000. Any feedback and comments are greatly appreciated!

Hi Fahoumh and other members:
This is a very reputable body shop. Besides, this is my second visit to them so there is no reason to suspect them using anything other than OEM parts. As a matter of fact, they ordered all the parts over the phone with me sitting in front of them during the estimate. The price of the bulb ,$196.95 , seems to indicate this is the"genuine article".

then it might be defective....I'm not too sure, though. But I do know that the light from the bulbs on my mom's '00 TL are the same as when we first got the car. Sorry I can't be of any more help. Maybe there's someone else on here who's had this problem....you can see by clicking on that "Search" button on the left.
